Okay, I think I have the ratings down now (as estimates):
Rating / Viewers (in Millions) / Show Name
1.7 / 1.8 / Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1, Battlestar Galactica
2.2 / 5.8 / Supernatural
2.6 / 9 / Threshold
2.9 / 11.4 / Ghost Whisperer, Surface
3.1 / 13 / Medium
10.2 / 69.8 / Invasion
13.8 / 98.6 / Lost
I like all the multi-season shows on this list (Lost, Medium, both Stargates, and Battlestar Galactica).
Of the new shows, I am liking Threshold the most so far. Supernatural is a show I will likely continue to watch. Invasion I may or may not continue (though it is a ratings Monster due to Lost being the lead-in, so I expect it will stay around a while). Surface I may or may not continue watch. Ghost Whisperer is probably a no-go for me (and not just because I am bitter that it replaced a good show like Joan of Arcadia).
Night Stalker premiere is on tonight, but I have heard bad reviews so far.

So, I'm sure y'all know there is a big fire going right now in Chatsworth.
First, it's nowhere near our residence.
Melody and I work in Chatsworth, and we could see the actual flames on the hillside about 2/3 of a mile away yesterday from work, which caused a lot of commuting delays as the local freeways were closed and side streets were crowded.
The fire moved on from that area by today, and work isn't likely threatened unless there is a big change.
My parent's house is in West Hills. The fire is currently in Bell Canyon, which is an easy walking distance from my parents place (actual an area they thought about buying their home when they first moved in 30 years ago). It's not likely to ever reach my parents house, as there are now a lot of homes between them and where the fire is (didn't used to be those houses there, but housing expansion knows few limits). But it is a bit scary that it's in that area, and the smoke is probably pretty bad.
The area that has burned includes a lot of Chatsworth Reservoir. It's a beautiful area that I used to drive through often when I was younger, and it always reminded me a lot of Topanga (though a bit more rough around the edges). It's sad that the area will be black now. Ah well, I look forward to seeing the new plants spring up from the ashes in the future.
