Oh Al.

I guess we are all supposed to forget how you thought Saddam was a WMD using terrorist (he even says Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological, with a slight southern drawl, and links it to Iraqi Terrorism that is to come). I mean, this video sure sounds an awful lot like Bush Jr. in the run up to this war.

Yes, Bush Sr. should not have supported Saddam, and he rightly calls him out for it.

However, Gore shouldn't now be pretending like he wasn't in support of an attack on Iraq for the exact reasons Bush Jr. was giving, and well before Bush Jr. was saying it. Some of the "lies" in the "Bush Lied, People Died" slogan are in fact Al Gore's pushing Iraqi WMD and terrorist ties before Bush Jr. was even President.

I swear, particularly at the end, if you replaced Gore's voice with Bush Jr. it would be really close to Bush's State of the Union speech leading up to the Iraq war. I am referring to the part where Gore is saying that Iraq will not suddenly and completely change it's ways out of the fear of political and economic sanctions (and then rightly bashing Bush Sr. for blocking sanctions, despite the fact that he just said they won't work), and his repeating all the WMD and terorism and civil rights and democracy and dictatorship stuff, and all the "Looked the other way" part of the speech.

That Al Gore. He's a character!
